1. Who can become members?

EVERYONE! :D

2. Can I become a staff member?

WE ARE CURRENTLY OPEN FOR MODERATOR POSITIONS! You must join as a member of the group before applying. If you want to become a Moderator, note the group

3. Will all artwork submissions be accepted?

Our gallery contains high end medium, to very high level paintings and we reserve the right to reject any submission. Artwork that is rejected will be given a reason why by Cosmic-Spectrum Staff and how to improve to get your artwork to the stage of submission approval.

How many times can I submit artwork per week?

A maximum of FIVE deviations per week! Please don't resubmit artwork that has been refused unless work has been made to improve it. Our submission count may change in the future and members will be notified if this occurs.

Can I suggest artwork submissions to the group?

Of course! we love to hear the opinions and suggestions of our members!

If you have any further questions that have not been answered by our FAQ, note the group and we'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Hi everyone, I'm here to announce the winners of the seasons contest!

In first place is :iconsomenightowl: with the piece 'Free.' Can you please contact the judges with what you would like them to draw for your sketch prizes
Second place was a tie between :iconsayurieyes: with the piece 'Autumn-Draw Along' and :iconyuriy-07: with 'Nature Scene 2.'
In third place is :iconredanshy: with the piece 'Winter Nostalgia.'

Theme
Seasons! Your artwork must include one of the following seasons: Summer, Autumn, Winter, Spring. Artwork can be original art or fan art.

Contestants are allowed to use more than one season in their artwork.  A total maximum of three artworks per contestant. References can be used but must be referenced in the artist's comment section.

Medium & Requirements
Open to all traditional and digital artistic mediums. Literature not included.

Entries must be new artwork made specifically for the contest, submitted between January 4th to March 29th. Work submitted prior will not be accepted.

Eyes of Mist 3 Chapter 3 - Departure

The sunlight shone through the silver foliage and gently caressed the boy's hair. What might have happened to make him behave like this? He had spent so much time here but never had the forest witnessed such emotions, such sadness, anger and disappointment. Finally the boy's pain ebbed to a dull ache, covered by numbing oblivion. He slumped to the ground and curled on the ground like an unborn child.

He slowly opened his silvery blue eyes and blinked into the gleaming light. Tamaril sat up and rubbed his face and hurting eyes, before carefully lifting himself up. He let his gaze wander throughout the room.

 The scream resounded throughout the camp. It lingered within patches of fog, slowly fading to a choked cough. Jorcan gave a start. He had heard enough death screams to know one. The only question was if it belonged to one of his own or a captive Falamar who had carelessly ventured too close to the Shakaree war camp.

Jorcan thought both alternatives to be highly annoying. Their own number was small enough  without being decimated by any brawls. Any Falamar stupid enough to come should have been interrogated before his execution.

Eyes of Mist 1 Chapter 1 – Peaceful Days

Tamaril raised his head and ran his hand through his thick white hair. He laid down the quill  next to the book he had just been writing and stood. It was seldom that he stopped writing. He had ceased to feel the need for sleep or food a long time ago. It had been at about the same time when he had stopped being what he had been born as. His memories of these times were only fragmentary, images at best, emotions that seldom surfaced in his consciousness when he laid aside the quill and went into the forest.

The forest, strangely enchanted by the power of the unicorn. This place made him what he was. What he Eyes of Mist 1 by =Steffel
Eyes of Mist Prologue Prologue:

The bells were silent. A hush lay over the plain between the river Armasin and Pherdon keep, yet there was no peace in it.

The soldier's breath came in short gasps as he trudged through wet grass and desperately tried to make out a shape or anything that could help him within the heavy mist. An icy lump of dread had formed in him when he was ordered to find out what had happened in Pherdon. Still, he followed his duty and obeyed. Now he was possibly walking right into an ambush with just a handful of men and cold sweat was running down his spine.

He had never been able to believe that Pherdon could fall. Too many times he had Eyes of Mist Prologue by =Steffel
